 Technical centre:
The Technical Centre of Shangshang Cable Group is the highest organization for technology research and development, which owns complete and advanced research, test, trial?manufacturing equipments and instruments, and able to grasp the most advanced achievements and development in technology at home and abroad in time through internet web. The total building area of the technical Center is 2400 sqm. It is a three-floor building in European style, which symbolizes that Shangshang Cable Group will catch up with and exceed the developed countries on technology.
Technical centre mainly consists of scientific & technological information department, testing department, technical service department, product development department, technical research department and trial-manufacturing plant. In recently years, we have successfully exploited chemical, irradiation and silane cross-linking; High, medium and low voltage power cable; Aerial cable; Nuclear power station cable; Airport lighting cable; Civil and military Airfield lighting cable; Mineral insulated fire-proof cable; Mica tape & insulated fire-proof cable; Low smoke and low halogen ( or halogen-free) flame retardant and fire-proof cable; aerial insulated house service wire; 10kV 1000sqmm large-size crosslinked cable; cable for Oil Rig Use & for Naval Ship; locomotive & vehicle wire, etc.
At present, testing department consists of two parts, newly built factory and old factory. The total building area of the testing department in the old factory is 400 sqmm. Tests on copper, aluminium rod and rubber cables are made here. While the building in the new factory was built in the year of 1996, and its total area is 1400m2. This building comprises three parts: burning testing building, high-voltage hall and testing building. And all the sample tests and type tests are made here. Testing room owns good environment and complete equipments and instruments. It has 130 sets of test equipments and instruments in all, thereinto, partial discharge test equipment imported from Hipotronics of U.S.A. Rheometer imported from Haake Company of Germany, etc. What’s more, all the people who do test in old factory or in new factory have qualification approved by the state.
Testing department works according to the current and effective international standard and national standard strictly. It can do all the type tests for rubber jacketed cable, LV power cable and control cable. At present, it has already been determined as the fire control products cable testing station of Jiangsu Province by the fire control products inspection station of Jiangsu Province at present. Meanwhile, the testing department was commissioned by the Products Quality Surveillance Inspection Center of Jiangsu Province and the Bureau of shipping Nanjing branch to test their sampling cables.
